About EPCET
|
East Point College of Engineering and
Technology is located off old Madras road, about 8 Kilo Metres from
K.R.Puram cable stayed bridge. The campus is spread over an area
of 25 acres amidst beautiful green surroundings. The college is
approved by AICTE, Govt. of India and affiliated to VTU, Belgaum,
Karnataka State. The college offers B.E. degree programmes in Electronics
& Communication Engg., Computer Science & Engg., Information
Science & Engg., and Mechanical Engg., branches. The admission
to the college is as per the Karnataka Govt. norms through CET. |

A
part from the emphasis on quality education, at EPCET the focus
is also on providing an organized and stimulating environment with
every possible facility. The entire built up area on campus, amounts
to 25-lakh sq.ft. with separate blocks for Computer Science & Engineering,
Information Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering. An efficient and highly qualified staff
headed by a HOD for each of the technical disciplines, functions
autonomously and yet ensures that the common goal remains the pursuit
and academic excellence. |

The body and soul of excellence

To develop the extra-curricular
activities, enhance creativity and communication skills, the campus
has several facilities. The library stocks the latest books and
journals that provide information on the latest technological developments
around the world. The Boys Hostel is a cozy establishment with only
two students per room. The recreational facilities in clued a Swimming
Pool, Health Club, TV Room and Reading Room, so that life on

is never boring. The Ladies Hostel is conveniently located in the
city limits with good transport facilities to make commuting easy.
A novel feature is that parents can spend 3 days each semester, without
any charge, on campus. This enables them to appreciate the concept
better and the passion with experience, which EPCET is run |

Successful experiments with excellence
|
|
Extremely
well equipped laboratories for each discipline-Physics, Chemistry
and a regular basic workshop that caters to all Departments, ensure
that the practical side adequately supports theory taught in the
classrooms. A large Drawing Hall that can serve 250 students is
another feature that makes teaching special, at EPCET. A Continuous
effort to upgrade the standard of academics has resulted in an R&D
Department headed by Dr. B.M Satish- an accomplished academician
with solid years of experience. Each Department has a cell that
monitors trends around the world and adapts them to create academic
guidelines at EPCET. Future plans include an Information Center
in USA, London, UK and in every state of the country, to collect
and disseminate information. This would enable students of EPCET,
to take the lead in areas that are advanced and gain a definite
edge over the competition. |
