Thus there is a surge in demand for quality civil engineers.
The development of civil engineering incepted in the year..... has grown into a full-fledged department offering undergraduate course in civil engineering . The Department is equipped with geotechnical Engineering Laboratory , Concrete and highway Meterial Testing Laboratory, Structures Laboratory, Environmental Engineering Laboratory, Hydraulic Machinery Laboratory
Course Objectives:
The Department aims at fullfilling the curriculum which takes care of both fundamental and advanced aspects of civil engineering. The specific objectives of the course are.
- To impart comprehensive knowledge both in the theoretical and practical aspects of Computer Science in order to make students industry-ready.
- To enhance the technical skills thorough study and experimenting
- To fecilitate close cooperation and collaboration with industry and professional bodies.
- To Emphasis on awareness of entrepreneurship development skills amoung students.
- To instill Establish Research orientation amoung students.

Eligibility For Admission
- A good pass in the pre-university or XII standard or equivalent examination recognized by the university. However the candidate shall have secured 45% marks in the aggregate with Physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects, namely, Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology and Electronics.
- For SC/ST and OBC candidates : Minimum marks for the SC/ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka in optional subjects is 40% provided that the candidate shall have studied and passed English as one of the subjects.
Duration and Mode of Study
The degree course abbreviated as B.E. is of four year full-time course comprising of eight Semesters of sixteen weeks each.
