Preamble:

The main goal of software engineering is to develop good design at all levels in general and top level design in particular. The better the early design, the easier detailed design will be. Designing software is an exercise in managing complexity. The complexity exits within the software design itself, within the software organization of the company, and within the industry as a whole. Post Graduate programme in Software Engineering is structured to empower the students with design, analysis and implementation of software products for various computer applications.

Course Objectives

• To impart knowledge pertaining to software performance analysis, algorithms, web services, compiler design, computer graphics, software quality, testing etc.
• To impart advanced knowledge related to application in mobile computing, distributed computing, web engg multimedia communication etc.
• To impart practical knowledge through hands on training sessions on various tools and design techniques, seminars and projects
• To encourage innovative thinking and add value to the software product development
• To encourage the students to publish research findings.
