The curriculum consists of Core subjects followed by Elective subjects that reflect the student's chosen area of specialization. However the specialization streams offered by the Department is guided by the coveted Visvesvaraya Technological University.
Presently the Department is offering three basic specialization streams.

• Marketing
• Finance
• HR

Eligibility For Admission

• A Bachelor's Degree of minimum three years duration recognized by this University with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations.
• However, in the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST and any other groups classified by the Government of Karnataka for such purpose from time to time the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall be not less than 45%.

Duration and Mode of Study

The degree course abbreviated as MBA is of two year full-time course comprising of four Semesters of sixteen weeks each. The candidate will be allowed a maximum of four years (8 semesters) of duration to be eligible for the award of MBA degree.

TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT METHODS

A mixture of teaching methods is used, including lectures, group work, and guided reading. Student performance is assessed through both Internal assessment and Semester end examinations as per the norms of the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka. However, Internal Assessment Marks will be based on assignments / tests / oral examinations and seminar conducted in respective subjects. All the candidates shall undertake a project of ten weeks duration at the end of the third semester and before commencement of the fourth semester. The project should have industry orientation and the work should be certified by the concerned organization where the student has undertaken the project.

The methodology is on par with any contemporary leading B School in the VTU system.
