Preamble:
There has been an unprecedented development in the field of Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) in the last few decades. From microprocessor to large scale integration, VLSI and now 3D VLSI, the growth has been phenomenal. Ever diminishing component size, advances in manufacturing processes and power of new design tools have enabled engineers to build systems with wide ranging applications and products. This course is designed to develop engineers who can design, develop and deploy VLSI based systems and products.
Course Objectives

- To impart knowledge pertaining to VLSI design, analysis, verification and automation, embedded systems, operating systems etc.
- To impart advanced knowledge related to VLSI applications including automotive electronics, image and video processing, RF-MEMS.
- To impart practical training on various tools used for VLSI design and product development.
- To engage the students in carrying out real life projects from concept development to final implementation.
- To involve the students in R & D activities.
